There are signs there that tell you this, but it didn’t seem like too many paid attention. Otherwise you’re gonna have a long walk up to the horses. It is good to note that if you don’t take the bus ride they give you there then make sure you drive all the way up the driveway. Yes, the canyon is beautiful but for me an hour would have been perfect. It seems like even the horses are pretty bored with this walk. You were going to ride along a path with the horses nose to, but the whole way.

Two hours is too much of the same thing for me, this was a good ride for me because I don’t know how to ride so I didn’t want to do anything crazy but for somebody who knows how to ride a horse I think they’d be very bored. The ride is very pretty, the only complaint I would say is that it’s too long. I felt safe at all times they gave me the correct horse and they helped me adjust and even told me stories about themselves. The cowgirls that ran it were absolutely wonderful. Again, a freaking hassle.įrom beginning to end, I would do this again. pulled up and parked in the lower parking lot and proceeded to walk to the first set of horse corals only to find out we needed to drive to the top plateau. My opinion is that you should probably not be talking "smack" about your customers regardless of the situation.Ĥ. I informed her I was the husband, and she quickly apologized saying it was because she wanted to get the briefing done. This wrangler the made a rude comment to me about my wife leaving to the bathroom (not knowing I was her husband). My wife was being fitted for a helmet and did not hear her announcement to gather and proceeded to the bathroom. Less than 2 minutes later she told the group to gather for the safety brief. Older (grumpy/snarkey attitude) female wrangler told the group to go to the restroom prior to the safety brief. We had (6) in our group, so this was a total hassle.ģ. Spent time and filled out online waiver forms only to be told to fill them out again with pen/paper when I arrived. I called to take them up on this assertion only to be told that the ride can only be done at noon.Ģ. Website states the noon ride can be conducted from mid-morning to mid-afternoon and can be flexible on time. It is quite possible the experience was tainted by several things:ġ. The ride experience was at best, average. Their focus was mostly on keeping the line of horses and mules moving. We received very little in the way of information about the canyon, ride, etc. "Wranglers"- Koa, and Kelly were very knowledgeable, attentive & friendly. I enjoyed the horses and the beautiful canyon scenery.
